The expanded version of the free Bitty Front Range cardigan is now available for sale on Ravelry. The Front Range cardigan includes sizes 1-12 years, with instructions for cap, short and 3/4" sleeves and directions for making your own fabric covered buttons. The samples shown are in Wool Maiden Guinnevere in Nettles on the younger child (a size 4 on my 4 year old) and in Quince and Co Phoebe in Mercury on the older child (a size 6 on my 6 year old). Next up is the pullover tee version for the warmer months.
We are so lucky to have this wonderful spot minutes away from our home. Perfect for a quick photo shoot, with plenty of exploring time (and soon to be swimming) for the kiddos and knitting time for me. We have lived near this spot, although in 3 different homes, for nearly 15 years. In the first photo above my younger daughters head, and half way up the mountain, is a white dot that is a water tower. We lived about two acres below it in a quiet neighborhood for 14 years, through 3 births, raising 4 kids, many pets, gardens, wildfires, a flood, wildlife at our doorstep (literally) and awesome rainbows, sunrises and sunsets. I wouldn't trade our years in that home for anything. How amazing it is watching the little girls exploring the same areas near our home that our eldest did, only a decade later!
